Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis refers to the condition whereas an affected person experiences excessive sweating. This kind of condition affects almost all ages and all walks of life and has a greater impact on the social life of an affected person.
Excessive sweating occurs more on the palms, feet, face, and underarm area of an affected person. Due to excessive sweating the affected person might develop body odor.
Type of excessive sweating:
- Facial hyperhidrosis – occurs in the face
- Plantar hyperhidrosis – occurs in feet
- Axillary hyperhidrosis – occurs either on palms or underarms
Causes of hyperhidrosis
- Gout
- Stress
- Tumors
- Infection
- Menopause.
- Diabetes mellitus
- Heightened emotion
- Malfunction of the thyroid or pituitary gland
Other causes of Hyperhidrosis:
- Meeting someone for the first time
- Nervousness or emotional distress
Symptoms of Hyperhidrosis
- Abnormal Sweating
- Skin maceration
- Fissuring
- Scaling
In severe hyperhidrosis cases, sweat drip literally down from the hands, face and feet. This is a condition, which can be detected, in early childhood.
Treatment / Home Remedies for Hyperhidrosis
Sage tea:
Drinking sage tea is one of the known home remedies for excessive sweating. Infuse 1 teaspoon of dried sage in a cup of boiling water (8.oz) for 15 minutes, Strain and drink tea 2-4 times a day.
Tea bags
Soaking hands and feet in warm water soaked with tea bags is one of the effective remedies for hyperhidrosis. Boiling 5 regular tea bags in a quart of water for 5 minutes, let cool and soak hands or feet for 20-30 minutes at night.
Vinegar and Honey:
Mixing a solution of vinegar and honey is another good home remedy for hyperhidrosis. Consume a mixture of two teaspoons of vinegar and two teaspoons of honey 3 times a day
Antibacterial Soap:
By using antibacterial soap can be a good remedy for hyperhidrosis, it can help to lessen perspiration
Prevention for Hyperhidrosis
Use cotton made clothing
Avoid, sugar, alcohol, and spicy foods.
Drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses daily)
Use antibacterial soap rather than moisturizer soaps
i will try to follow those suggested treatments im very very desperate in curing my hyperhydrosis my doctor asked my to undergo surgery but its too expensive waaaaah! cant afford it!!!

I was born with this condition and neither antibcterial soap nor drinking plenty of water has done anything for my condition. The over the counter new deoadarants do not help either. I sweat so much that I wet my clothes in teh most embarrassing areas. I will try the tea , but not sure about the honey and vinegar (vinegar can thin the blood) and let you knwo what happens.
