Hello
I have just recently visited the skin centre and was diagnosed with Onycholysis. My nails sticks off from my finger (4 fingers) now and this had been since about 10 years ago. I have taken expensive medication and nail drops and all doctors advised that this if fungus infections. Please help me. I daughter has got pitted nails (spots on top of nail) and I thought that I had spread the fungus to her. Please help.
I have onycholysis of my two big toe nails. This was caused by an aggressive pedicure. I have searched many websites and have been unable to find a definitive answer to this question: If I clip the nail back and follow the above treatment, will my nail correct itself and grow normally?
I have eczema and sometimes my nails aren’t the prettiest due to my disease. I do find that when my nail beds recede too much or my nails become brittle, I soak my nails in vinegar for 5-10 minutes. I do this everyday for a few weeks and it always helps. Good luck!
Me too i had an Onycholysis in my both left and right hands, i went to skin dieases clinic and then the doctor give me a prescription for treatment nail anti-fungal infection. Nail Lacquer ( Amorolfine ) Locetar. NAME of medicine. IT takes time for treatment until now i treat once 1 week. But my nails still on its color greenish and thick. Very shameful my nails like a kitty nails or dog nails.. grrr..
My two fingernails (left pinky and ring ringer) also separates from the nail bed and has a greenish discoloration. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed of psoriasis, he prescribed antibiotic and KM04- which is a solution used in soaking the affected area. But still nothing happens. I was schedule for follow up check up but did not come back. Hoping to find a home remedy or have it cure in ways I know or in what others do. I tried cutting off my whole nail but have same result when it grows. There are times when my nail is partially attached to my the nail bed, however, after a week of two it slowly detaches the nail bed. My concern is that Is this communicable, I mean, can I infect other persons? I’m also confused if this is really psoriasis or onycholysis? Hope someone could answer my question. Thanks
