<li>Fast eating that leads to swallowing of excess air</li>
<li>Drinking carbonated beverages (e.g. Softdrinks)</li>
<li>Gastroesophageal reflux disease causes involuntary burping</li>

<p><strong>Treatment / Homemade Remedies</strong></p>
<p>Fennel Seeds:<br />
Chew about 1 tablespoonful of fennel seeds after each meal</p>
<p>Virgin Coconut Oil:<br />
Add a pinch of Asafetida in about 5 ml of VCO and apply topically in the stomach area</p>
<p>Warm Water:<br />
Mix a pinch of Asafetida in 250 ml glass of water</p>
<p>Ginger Powder<br />
Mix a half-teaspoon of dry Ginger powder in 250 ml glass of warm water</p>
<p>Brandy:<br />
Mix 2 tablespoon of brandy in 250 ml glass of warm water</p>
<p>Raw Ginger:<br />
Chew a small piece of fresh ginger slices soaked in limejuice</p>
<p>Dill Oil and Honey:<br />
Add a few drops of dill oil in a teaspoon of honey after meal</p>
<p>Lemon Juice:<br />
Mix a pinch of baking soda in 250 ml glass of limejuice diluted with water</p>
<p>Chamomile Tea:<br />
Drink chamomile tea at least twice a day to avoid burping</p>
<p><strong>Prevention</strong></p>

<li>Avoid stress</li>
<li>Eating slowly or have small meals</li>
<li>Avoid excessive alcohol consumption</li>
<li>Eat advisable portions of vegetables and fruits</li>
