Burping (Belching)
Burping or Belching also called eructation/ructus is a process of releasing gas from the digestive tract through the mouth. An odor and sound may also accompany this it is common to people regardless of age and ethnicity. This happens to release the excess air in the stomach and relieves some stomach discomfort.

Causes
- Fast eating that leads to swallowing of excess air
- Drinking carbonated beverages (e.g. Softdrinks)
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease causes involuntary burping
Treatment
Fennel Seeds:
Chew about 1 tablespoonful of fennel seeds after each meal
Virgin Coconut Oil:
Add a pinch of Asafetida in about 5 ml of VCO and apply topically in the stomach area
Warm Water:
Mix a pinch of Asafetida in 250 ml glass of water
Ginger Powder
Mix a half-teaspoon of dry Ginger powder in 250 ml glass of warm water
Brandy:
Mix 2 tablespoon of brandy in 250 ml glass of warm water
Raw Ginger:
Chew a small piece of fresh ginger slices soaked in limejuice
Dill Oil and Honey:
Add a few drops of dill oil in a teaspoon of honey after meal
Lemon Juice:
Mix a pinch of baking soda in 250 ml glass of limejuice diluted with water
Chamomile Tea:
Drink chamomile tea at least twice a day to avoid burping
Prevention
Avoid stress
Eating slowly or have small meals
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
Eat advisable portions of vegetables and fruits
Avoiding chewing gum and carbonated drinks
Avoid excessive consumption of onions and chocolates
Avoid over consumption of milk and sugary substances
