It is a water borne disease and is common during the monsoon.Â Mortality rate for this disease is quite high especially from those who are living in tropical areas.<br />

<p><strong>Symptoms</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Nausea</li>
<li>Vomiting</li>
<li>Weak pulse</li>
<li>Restlessness</li>
<li>Mild diarrhea</li>
<li>Always thirsty</li>
<li>Stomach cramps</li>
<li>Cholera Symptoms</li>
<li>Temperature rising</li>
<li>Loose and watery stools</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Causes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Flies as vectors</li>
<li>Contaminated food and water</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Treatments<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Lemon<br />
Â Mix freshly squeezed lemon in a glass of water and serve as juice/lemonade</p>
<p>Guava Root Bark<br />
30 grams of guava root bark with in a 500 ml of water, drink twice daily</p>
<p>Mix 30 grams of chopped onions with 7 pieces of black pepper and finely pound in a pestle.Â  Consume the mixture 3 times a day</p>
<p>Bitter Gourd:<br />
Mix frshly two teaspoon of juiced bitter gourd, with an equal quantity of white onion juice and a teaspoon of limejuice drink twice a day</p>
<p>Drumstick Leaves:<br />
Mix one teaspoon of fresh drumstick leaves juice, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 glass of coconut, consume 2 to 3 times a day.</p>
<p>Cucumber<br />
Mix 1 glass of fresh juice of cucumber leaves with exact quantity of young coconut water tender coconut water,</p>
<p>Cloves<br />
BoilÂ aboutÂ 4 grams of cloves with 3 liters of water</p>
<p><strong>Prevention</strong></p>
<p>Avoid uncooked vegetables<br />
Liquid bland foods will be easily digested by the patient. Lemon, onions, vinegar, and mint should be included in the daily diet during an epidemic of cholera.</p>
