Mostly children under 5 years old and adults over 60 years old are more susceptible to this disease. Although this condition is rare in developed countries like United State, Canada and UK it is still common among developing countries. The last recorded occurrence of diphtheria outbreaks is on 1993-1994 in former Soviet Union countries.</p>
<p>This kind of disease is highly contagious. Which means, it can be easily passed from one person to another by means of:</p>

<li>Kissing</li>
<li>laughing</li>
<li>Sharing glass in drinking</li>

<p>The incubation period of the diphtheria virus is from 2 to 4 days.</p>
