Female Sterility
Infertility is the inability to conceive and get pregnant after a year or trying. Infertility or failure to reproduce differs from frigidity, which indicates failure to engage in a sexual intercourse.
Symptoms
Psychological factors such as anxiety, fear, emotional stress, mental depression and tension, results in psychosomatic sterility. This condition can be corrected by psychotherapy for it would not last permanently.
Causes
Primary cause of infertility for women is the delayed formation of pregnancy. Ovulation dysfunction, abnormalities in the fallopian tubes and uterine, endometriosis, and STDs contributes to the risk of infertility to women.
Chronic anemia, constipation, and leucorrhoea, obesity or emaciation due either to faulty diets and slow metabolism aggravates this condition.
Home Remedies
Banyan Roots: Dry some banyan roots and ground it into fine powder. Mix 20 gm of banyan root powder with 100 mg milk. Take it for 3 consecutive nights after the menstrual period are over. Avoid any food intake for a while under this treatment. Repeat procedure until conception takes place. This can treatment should be applied for cases of infertility that doesn’t involved any physical deformities or congenital diseases.
Jambul Leaves: Mix 250 ml of boiling water with 20 gm of fresh jambul leaves. Leave for 2 hours. Take this infusion with 2 teaspoons of honey or 200 ml of buttermilk. This is an excellent remedy for cases of miscarriage due to endometriosis.
Winter Cherry: Mix 6 gm of winter cherry powder with 1 cup of milk. Take this dosage 5-6 nights after the menstrual period.
Vitamins and minerals: Women who have plans of conception should be at the peak of their health. This can be achieved by taking at least 1000 mg of vitamin C, 100 I.U. of vitamin E and 30 mg of zinc daily.
Diets
For women who are unable to conceive, abstain from eating any food for 2-3 days will help remove the toxins from the body.
When embarking on a diet, eat at most 70-80% raw foods so that you can the best of their nutritional content. These foods include, fruits and vegetables, grains and nuts, as wells as milk and honey, and meals cooked in vegetable oils. Curd and cottage cheese are also recommended.
Sprouting beans, grains and seeds in their raw form will increase their nutritional value and improve their protein content.
Avoid foods that are fatty, fried, fleshy, greasy and spicy. Stay away from refined cereals, coffee, strong tea, white sugar and flour.
Other suggestions
Warm water enema: Administer a warm water enema while undergoing fasting and soon afterwards. This will relieve the digestive, urinal and genital system.
Mud packs: Apply mud packs in the abdomen and reproductive organ. This will relieve all kinds of inflammation and will greatly improve internal circulation.
Cold Hip Bath: Take cold hip bath for 10 minutes at a water temperature of 10ºC-18.3ºC.
Wet girdle pack: Press thin underwear in cold water. Wear it, and put over a thick, dry underwear made of cotton or wool. However, avoid doing any cold treatments during menstrual period.
Yoga: Doing yoga asanas such as sarvangasana, matsyasana, ardhamatsyendrasana, paschimottanasana and shalabhasana will tone up the ovaries. It will help overcome infertility if practiced regularly.
