Spa Treatments You Can Do At Home

You do not need to go to expensive spa salons to give your body a lift. You can make your own spa recipes and bask in the luxury of your own home.

For soft, silky hands, you will only need ½ cup coconut oil, another half-cup of sugar, the juice of one lemon, and cotton gloves. Here’s what you should do with these ingredients: mix them all in a bowl, then rub the mixture all over your hands, taking particular attention to the folds of your skin. Rub them thoroughly as you would wash your hands. Remove any excess sugar with a paper towel. Do not rinse your hands yet. Instead, cover your hands with the cotton gloves and let them stay that way for the night. Now, dream the night away, and when morning comes, you will have soft, silky hands.

For radiant, glowing skin, prepare the following: a piece of peeled and grated medium sized cucumber, a cup of buttermilk, and a half-cup of sea salt. Mix the cucumber and buttermilk first, then add the salt and blend it well with the cucumber-buttermilk mixture. In the meantime, take a warm shower, and relax yourself in the tub, allowing your pores to open up. Then scrub the mixture all over your body, but take particular attention to the drier areas, such as the elbows and the knees.

Do your tired feet get you down? Use this simple recipe before heading out the door to visit your foot salon. For tired feet, you will basically need ½ cup of sea salt, a tablespoon of freshly ground coffee beans, another tablespoon of ground vanilla beans, ½ cup of olive oil, a pot of coffee, and whipped cream. Smells inviting, right? If the aroma alone can perk you up, imagine what it can do to your feet!

The salt, ground coffee and vanilla beans, and oil should be mixed in a bowl. In a separate basin, pour the pot of coffee and add the whipped cream and soak your feet in this basin. Let your feet stay for about 10 minutes. Then rub your feet with the salt-ground coffee-ground vanilla beans-oil mixture, and rinse it off with warm water.

Now, who can say that the spa is only way to go for a body lift?
