Low Blood Pressure

Low blood pressure , also known as hypo tension refers to a below normal level in blood pressure. The heart is not strong enough to pump the blood back to the arteries.

Symptoms
Patients complaining of low blood pressure will experience fatigue, dizziness and lethargy. Fainting spells are to be expected when he/she is an upright position. It is presume that these symptoms are due to a decrease in the distribution of the blood to the heart, brain, skeletal muscle and other organ.

Causes
Malnutrition, or deficiency in calories, proteins, vitamin C or vitamin B complex causes the tissues forming the walls of the blood vessels to go flaccid and expanded. This condition lessens the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues.

Lose of blood will make the blood pressure level fall rapidly. It may also develop gradually because of slow, internal bleeding in the kidneys, bladder, or gastrointestinal tract.

Emotional imbalance is considered to be the common cause of low blood pressure. Feeling of frustration will also result to abnormally low blood pressure.

Home Remedies
Beetroot: Drink a cup of beetroot juice 2 times a day to get desirable results within a week.

Indian spikenard: Mix 30-40 gm of Indian spikenard, a pinch of little camphor, and cinnamon. Take this treatment everyday. Alternately, prepare an infusion by boiling15-20 gm of Indian spikenard in 250 ml water. Take it thrice daily.

Epsom salt bath: Dissolve 1- 1 ½ kg of commercial Epsom salt in a tub full of hot water. Soak in the tub for 10-20 minutes. Do this before bedtime.

Vitamins and nutrients: Take liberal amount of pantothenic acid to help raise the blood pressure level. Vitamin C, B complex, and proteins will also help prevent the risk of low blood pressure.

Salt: Eat salty foods and take ½ teaspoon of salt mixed in water daily to help reach the normal blood pressure level.

Diets
Rejuvenate the whole body system by undergoing an exclusive fresh fruit diet for 5 days. Take 3 meals a day consisting of fresh succulent fruits at 5-hour intervals.

Adopt a fruit and milk diet for 2-3 weeks afterwards. Next, eat plenty of seeds, nuts, grains, and fruits and vegetables.

Repeat the two diets every 2-3 months if necessary.

Other Suggestions
Administer a warm water enema everyday during the first few days of treatment. Repeat afterwards if necessary.

Eliminate all toxins from the body as often as you can for those suffering from chronic constipation.

Apply dry friction and sponging everyday as much as possible.

Take light exercises such as breathing, cycling, swimming, and walking.

Take sun and air baths for natural approach to treatment.

Have a healthy lifestyle by avoiding stressful habits and overworking.
