It is one of the most common disorder. This condition creates spasm in the muscles and causes back pain. Overweight people with back pains oftentimes strain their back when carrying extra baggage for the back bears the weight of the entire body.

Symptoms of Back Pain

Usually, the pain occurs in the middle or lower part of the back. In some instances, the pain may be felt on both side of the waist and even the hips. During extreme cases of acute pains, the patient may be paralyzed and it is therefore left tied to the bed.

Mustard oil, sesame oil, and coconut oil can be use as suitable alternative home remedies for Back pain. To use these oils as rubefacients, cook them on a slow fire till they become brown. Let it chill before applying it vigorously on one’s back. Leave it for 3 hours. The patient may take a warm bath afterwards. Continue this treatment for at least fifteen days.

Lemon:
Make a juice out of 1 lemon and mix it with rock salt. Drink it twice everyday.

Chebulic Myroblan:
For a quick relief, Eat a small piece chebulic myroblan fruit in after every meals.

Vitamin C:
Take about 2,000 mg of vitamin C everyday to relieve oneself from back pains within two days.

Potato:
Make a warm poultice out of raw potatoes and apply it in the lower part of the back, where the lumbar region is. It is used as an ancient home remedy and is therefore, really effective in relieving back pains.

Diet Suggestion for Back Pain

Salad of raw vegetables, plenty of fruits:
Make a salad consisting of raw vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, cabbages, cucumbers, radishes, lettuces.

Steam or cook lightly two more vegetables, such as cauliflower, cabbage, and spinach. Eat plenty of fruits, except bananas.

Take four meals daily. For breakfast, drink milk and eat some fruits. For lunch, eat steamed vegetables and make chapattis out of whole wheat. For dinner, drink fresh fruit juices along with a bowl of raw salad with brussel sprouts in it.

Avoid fatty, spicy fried foods and processed foods
Avoid any processed, fried, spicy and fatty foods
Avoid sweets containing sugar and any form of condiments.

Also avoid coffee or tea.

Other Treatments Suggestions

Quit smoking tobacco or any cigarettes.

Hot fomentation and alternate sponging:
Treat yourself to a hot fomentation, or alternate sponging when applying heat on your back to get immediate relief.

Neck Pain

Neck pain or cervicalgia is a common problem. Anyone for some point in his or her lives can experience neck pain. It can be chronic that last for weeks or just a sudden occurrence.

Most of neck pain are not serious it maybe caused by bad posture while at work. If neck pain prevents anyone to move freely and became a hindrance in everyday activities, an immediate medical action must be made.

  • Injuries or traumas

Treatment

Heat and Cold Compress:
Reduce inflammation by applying cold, such as an ice pack or ice wrapped in a towel, for up to 20 minutes several times a day. Alternate the cold treatment with heat.

Pineapple:
Eat raw pineapple, its helps in reducing the pain and swelling

Turmeric Powder:
Put one-half teaspoon of turmeric powder with warm water twice a day.

Turmeric Juice:
Put one teaspoon in hot milk, drink before bedtime, it helps reducing pain

Almond and garlic oil:
Apply topically, massage evenly in affected area

Anti-Pain Ointments:
OTC ointments can help reducing pain, use as directed

Lime:
Make a paste by combining one teaspoon of lime powder and one teaspoon of honey and apply in the affected area.

Cabbage:
Warm the outer leaves of a cabbage in hot water and bandage around the sprain using a piece of cloth to hold in place.

Salt:
Put a salt in a piece of cloth and tie the piece of cloth around your neck. The salt must be in neck area

Prevention

  • Take frequent breaks if you drive long distances or work long hours
  • Adjust your desk computer monitor must be at eye level
  • Avoid tucking the phone between your ear and shoulder when you talk.
  • Stretch frequently if you work at a desk..
  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach. This position puts stress on your neck
