Sexual Impotence
Sex is a basic human activity that requires concentration and relaxation. People who are usually tense and occupied suffer from sexual disorders such as sexual impotence.
Symptoms
Psychological illnesses such as depression have low sexual drive and impotent erection.
Alcohol abuse, diabetes, exhaustion, therapeutic of estrogen, paralysis or permanent damage of parasympathetic nerves caused by drug overuse can lead to sexual impotence.
Causes
Primary cause for sexual impotence is apprehension created during the earlier failure in sexual activity. Devitalized body systems will also makes an individual impotent.
Sexual impotence takes on 3 forms. First is when there is failure of erection at the beginning of the activity. Second is another failed erection during the sexual intercourse. The third form takes place when the individual reaches the seniority of age.
Home Remedies
Garlic: Chew 2-3 cloves of raw garlic daily. It is a natural and harmless aphrodisiac. It is an effective tonic that can relieve impotency caused by overindulgence in sex and nervous exhaustion.
Onion: Eat onions liberally to increase the libido and strengthen the reproductive organs. White variety of onions is more powerful compared to the normal variety.
Carrot: Chop 150 gm of carrots. Mix with hard-boiled egg and 1 tablespoon of honey. Take it once daily. Continue treatment for a month or two to increase sexual stamina.
Lady’s fingers: Mix 5-10 gm of powdered lady’s finger roots with a glass of milk, and 2 teaspoons of mishri. Take it daily to improve sexual vigor.
Asparagus: Boil 15 gm of dried asparagus roots in 1 cup of milk. Take it twice daily to heal impotency and improve premature ejaculation. It is an aphrodisiac used in Unani medicine and is marketed as safed musli.
Drumstick: Boil 15 gm of drumstick flowers in 250 ml milk. This soup is an effective sexual tonic for both men and women. Alternately, boil 120 gm of powdered dry bark in ½ liter of water for 30 minutes. Mix 30 gm of this powder with 1 tablespoon of honey. Take it 3 times daily for 1 month to cure impotency, premature ejaculation, and thinning of the semen.
Ginger: Take ½ teaspoon ginger along with a hardboiled egg and honey once a day every night. Continue treatment for a month to relieve impotency, premature ejaculation, and spermatorrhoea.
Dried dates: Pound dried dates and mix with equal parts almonds, pistachio nuts, and quince seeds. Take 100 gm daily to increase sexual vigor.
Raisin: Wash black raisin thoroughly in running water. Boil in milk to make it soft and sweet. Eat 30 gm of raisin with 200 ml of milk 3 times a day. Gradually increase intake of raisins to 50 gm.
Diets
For a start, undergo a fruit diet for 5-7 days by taking 3 meals of fresh succulent fruits a day every 5 hours. Eat plenty of grains, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables supplemented with garlic, honey, sour milk (particularly goat’s milk), cold-pressed vegetable oil, brewer’s yeast, millet, and whey.
Avoid drinking alcohol, tea and coffee.
Avoid smoking, eating white sugar and white flour products, and consuming all canned, denatures, processed and refined foods.
Further Suggestions
Have a vigorous whole body massage to take away the nervous tension.
Take a cold hip bath for 10 minutes in the morning and in the evening to soothe the nerves of the genital organs in the pelvic region.
Breathe fresh air and perform outdoor exercises as often as possible.
Perform yoga asanas such as dhanurasana, sarvangasana, and halasana.
