Wrinkles are caused by the sagging and thin skin that produce creases to the face, neck and hands. It occurs when the collage and elastin that are present on the connective tissues of the skin are weak and small in number. The skin may also become thinner, and may lose its elasticity, smoothness and fat content.

Symptoms
Wrinkled skin is characterized by crease, lines, and sagging skin usually found on the sensitive skin of the eyes, lips and neck. Although some creases are temporary, it may become more consistent and permanent as one age.

Causes
Photo aging is a condition that damages the skin caused by overexposure to the sun’s harmful rays is one of the common causes for premature wrinkles.

Smoking can hasten the aging process where the free radicals produced through the smoke can damage the skin.

Repetitive actions such as squinting, also called as “crow’s feet”, creates wrinkles around the eyes. Frowning can create frown lines on the forehead and smiling creates laugh lines around the mouth.

Rapid weight loss causes the skin to sag. This is due to the large volume of fat cells that are drastically removed from the body.

Deficiency in vitamin E can make the deteriorate skin health and creates wrinkles.

Air pollutants, chemicals, dusts, harsh lights, stress, and taking certain medications can wrinkle the skin over a period of time.

Home Remedies
Egg: Apply egg whites under your eyes.

Castor oil: Apply odor-free castor oil under the eyes or on the throat. Alternately, apply pure castor oil regularly on the wrinkled skin.

Vitamin E: Mix 3 vitamin E (from capsules), ½ teaspoon honey, ½ teaspoon lemon juice, and 2 teaspoon plain yogurt. Apply mixture on the face using a cotton ball for 10 minutes. Rinse well.

Comfrey: Mix ¼ cup of comfrey infusion, ¼ cup witch hazel, and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil. Apply on wrinkled skin using cotton ball. Store in a clean bottle afterwards.

Coconut oil: Apply coconut oil on wrinkled skin every night. Massage the affected area gently.

Turmeric: Mix turmeric paste made with sugarcane juice. Apply on skin to remove wrinkles and prevent skin aging.

Thompson grapes: Cut a green Thompson seedless grape in half. Gently squeeze it on the wrinkled face. Leave for 20 minute. Rinse with warm water and let it dry naturally.

Pineapple: Rub pineapple core on fine wrinkles on the face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well.

Fruit juices: Apply pineapple and green apple juices on the face daily for 10-15 minutes to remove fine wrinkles and heal cracked skin.

Flax seed oil: Take 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil 4 times a day to cure wrinkles. However, this may cause diarrhea for those who are not used to consuming flax seed oil.

Diets
Eat plenty of whole grains, fresh fruits, and healthy vegetables to for a more youthful wrinkle-free looking skin.

Drink at least 4-6 liters of water everyday to hydrate the body and moisturize your skin from within.

Further Suggestions
Smile more and refrain from squinting and frowning to keep your face younger-looking and wrinkle-free.

Lightly massage your skin using natural moisturizing cream or lotion. Do this every night to keep the skin soft and supple.

Apply sunscreen or lotion with enough SPF before going out in the sun.
